GEORGIA RUN OFF VOTE KEY TO WHICH PARTY CONTROLS SENATE Recent polls show both races are close According to The Hill newspaper (12/30/20), Democrat Rev. Raphael Warnock leads his opponent, GOP Senator Kelly Loeffler 52 to 45%. Democrat John Ossof is slightly ahead of his Republican opponent Senator David Perdue 50 to 48%. If either Republican wins, the GOP will retain control of the Senate. However, if both Democrats win, the parties will be evenly split which would allow VP Kamala Harris to cast tie breaking votes on legislation. Elections have consequences!
